As a small business, The Coral Lane Team is able to connect with our clients on a personal level. Each of our clients has a unique background, budget, and event vision. Regardless of rental budget, we are constantly working to serve our clients to the best of our ability! This week we are sharing a few tips we’ve picked up to cut down on wedding expenses.
Our best advice in regard to specialty rentals is to book a bare-bones venue and play up the space with fun rentals! By skipping out on rentals that are typically included with full-service venues, couples are able to create a unique feel according to their personal style.
To save even more on a personalized event experience, choose rentals that can be used during both the ceremony and reception. Having venue staff, The Coral Lane Delivery Crew or even family members move the rentals is a lot less expensive than booking two separate sets.
Aften + Brian’s playful, midcentury-inspired wedding is the perfect example of multi-functional rentals. Our white, yellow, and orange Modern Chairs served as both ceremony and reception seating. Our Natural Wood Benches are mixed in with the chairs to maximize guest seating. Styled with our Sunburst Backdrop and minimal floral design, the seating makes a statement during the ceremony. To transition into the reception space, the chairs and benches are paired with light stain farmhouse tables.
Bash Co + Events used the same concept in this styled shoot at Forge Venue. Our White Modern Chairs are simplistic enough to allow the Marble Backdrop + white neon to stand out, yet add a ton of character!
We are big advocates of maximizing use of our rentals. The Coral Lane Team put together two vision boards showing ways in which our clients could use this strategy!
The first vision board is an eclectic combination of modern and classic elements. The Marble Wall and Bishop Rug bring a trendy feel to the space. The Marble Wall can easily be moved into the reception space to bring texture into the bar set-up! Place small groups of wooden chairs around the bar and dance floor to give guests a designated space to relax. Throw in a few side tables to complete the look!

We love the simplistic combination of our Copper Trigon Arch and the Guadalupe Rug as an aisle runner! Black Bentwood Chairs used as ceremony seating can be transitioned into the reception space by pairing with Dark Wood Farmhouse Tables.

Going simple during the ceremony saves a ton of money while maintaining a gorgeous visual appeal! In the ceremony spaces below, floral work by Abelia Floral Studio and Olive Grove Design serve as a backdrop while our Guadalupe Rug and White Bentwood Chairs do their thing!
Our last tip is for couples who book wedding venues that offer the rental necessities. We say save on those basic pieces such as tables and event seating and use the extra money for specialty rentals you can’t live without! For couples with the necessities covered, we suggest renting a few statement pieces that reflect your personal style. Whether a fun photo backdrop or a pair of dramatic rattan chairs, a few unique pieces go a long way!

I was thinking of helping my sister plan her wedding and I actually represent myself in choosing and coordinate with the event planner. I was thinking of something fresh-like garden wedding I know my sister will love it. I Just have to choose the right things, flowers and maybe candles to go with the rest of the design.
It really helped when you said that choosing the most basic pieces for tables and seats will make you save money and use the money for other things that can make the event better. I will definitely keep this in mind when we start planning for our wedding. My boyfriend just proposed to my last weekend, and we plan to look for the venue, church, and the things needed next month after filing a leave for a week.
My sister is getting married soon, and she asked me to help her rent the tables and chairs needed for the reception. Your article had some great tips that could help us save money on rentals like this, and I liked how you said to choose rentals that can be used during the ceremony and reception. This also makes it more personalized, and I’ll share this with my sister to help her rent chairs and tables for her wedding.
My brother will get married next month and he wants to rent and save as much money as he could. It was suggested here that he can rent chairs to save more money and pair the chairs together. Furthermore, it’s recommended to go to trusted businesses for quality chair rentals.
